As a tribute to all our Mothers, U.S. Wireless Schools (USWS), a wireless small business started by college students, is supporting the safe schools, campus, and communities' efforts of the non-profit U.S. Yellow School (YSB) Bus Digital Trust, as a "Digital Gift to the Nation."

USWS has partnered with the YSB and various organizations to provide wireless telecommunication services to multicultural, underserved both rural and urban communities as well as the American Indian Nations. The YSB project has been politically acknowledged and supported through many stakeholders. Advocates include, but are not limited to, various Congressmen, Senators, Mayors, school superintendents, the FCC, and the Department of Homeland Security.

This community service initiative will provide interoperable communications, tracking, and surveillance, for our country's 418,000 yellow school buses, to protect against bullying, so parents can always locate their children, and serve as a reserve resource for first responders in need of emergency transportation deployment for the citizenry. Never again hopefully will we see pictures of Yellow School buses under water as we did during Hurricane Katrina.

USWS and its strategic partners have an in-depth understanding of the funding obstacles for public schools. We have created a two-step process:

1) The first step is allows corporations and government employees to purchase state of the art wireless products with a 15% discount on their monthly recurring bill. For each activated device, USWS will donate $25 to the U.S. Yellow School Bus Digital Trust on behalf of your local public school. The $25 will be matched by various volunteer partner organizations in an effort to contribute a total of $100 in funding for each sale to the national safety agenda. This funding will be used to purchase equipment for the school buses (wireless cameras, broadband connectivity, and other communication devices and services).

2) The second step involves helping communities acquire unique rural, urban, and Indian Nations safe communities grants to help schools cover voice & GPS monthly reoccurring fees.
